Verizon Fios
Netflix
Even before the days of Netflix and Chill, Fios customers have been complaining that the #1 cable provider didn’t include the #1 streaming platform. So when Fios finally got Netflix, we leveraged some of the most popular shows and movies in this spot to generate excitement around the news.
We were asked to connect Fios’ Netflix launch with Fios’ amazing internet capacity. So I first thought about how my girlfriend and I used to fight over who was using Wi-Fi to stream, and when. Then, we watched Netflix trailers until we found a bunch of characters who didn’t get along.
Fios On Demand
I WILL shoot a live-action spot with dogs.

I WILL shoot a live-action spot with dogs.
But for the time-being, we used these good boys and girls to demonstrate that Fios On Demand has movies and shows for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Movies On Demand
We were challenged with demonstrating the massive breadth of Movies On Demand … in just 8 seconds. In these spots, we combined three different genres, each represented by a captivating CG scene, with the final one seamlessly leading into the trailer that follows.
First is an example of a thriller trailer, then a family movie (yes, we named all the fluffy characters when designing them). And while each spot featured just three genres, the final video shows all nine that we created.
Upgrades
On the surface, upgrading to faster internet or multi-room DVR isn’t sexy. These spots were made to change that. We worked with Man vs Machine to create mesmerizing, hypnotic eye-candy that showed consumers the product benefits they’ve been missing.
Fios TV App
Commuting is boring. Waiting to be called at jury duty is boring. Watching TV while doing these boring activities makes them less boring. When the Fios TV App launched, we were asked to spread the word.
Pandora Audio Spots
Fios made a summer playlist on Pandora, and asked us to write the ads that ran between songs. Our first thought? No one wants to listen to an ad while they’re streaming music. Our second thought? That’s our narrative!
*This proved to be Verizon’s most successful audio campaign to date, as Pandora users spent over 12,000 hours listening to our playlist.
